Are You Frustrated with Early Failure of your freshwater® Salt System Electrode?

by Tony Turbo.

If you own a Hot Spring or Caldera Spas hot tub with their freshwater® Salt System, you were likely told the electrode for this system should be replaced every 4 months or, in other words, it should function properly for 4 months. And, if you have replaced them, you know they usually cost $100 or more, hence you have an annual cost of at least $300 to replace these electrodes.

However, two fairly common complaints with the freshwater Salt System are:

  1. Difficulty maintaining a proper level of chlorine
  2. The electrode does not last 4 months and needs to be replaced sooner.

Many of our Hot Spring & Caldera Spas dealers have found that Serum Total Maintenance solves both of these problems.

Here is what one of our Hot Spring dealers has to say:

Hot Tub SERUM Total Maintenance Watercare

“Retention of Serum new water customers has been great. Our customers are spoiled from day one on the benefits. They have no bathtub scum lines, it’s easy to clean filters, squeaky clean spa surface, and easy to maintain sanitizer levels they were promised when they purchased their tub. Overall results have been very positive and consistent.

Here are some specific benefits we have gathered from our freshwater® Salt System customers using Serum Total Maintenance.

  • The have been able to reduce their Salt System Generator Output
  • They report no scale build up on the Salt System Electrode
  • Both have led to extended life of their salt cells

Overall, Hot Tub Serum Total Maintenance has provided our customers with easier spa care, a more enjoyable spa soak, while protecting their investment to enhance their spa ownership.”
